MELBOURNE’S GOLDEN AUTUMN HUES
The misty mornings creep in but our sunny warm days let us to linger over autumn. Golden, amber and copper hues line our streets with crunchy leaves, and the cool nights turn us to gathering around the table. Autumn’s harvest is rich with almonds, red apples, root vegetables, sun-kissed figs, plump blood plums, spiced quinces, hearty stews and slow braises. The Italian kitchen is a feast with hand made pasta’s and moorish sugo’s, artisan cheeses, roast game, farm-gate meats, and Mediterranean seafood’s. The cellar is stocked with rich earthy reds, aromatic pinot noir’s, and fortified’s and stickies with their caramel toffee spice. Slip into the last of the sun on our gorgeous terrace of marble top tables and designer chairs.
